Isa Goes to Philly

Philly is indeed where I've been lounging around and neglecting my blog the last few days, visiting an old (middle school!) friend that now goes to UPenn and enjoying the sunny weather. I hadn't been since a field trip in the 2nd grade! Needless to say, now that I can drink and move autonomously it was a totally different experience. The day we spent exploring the city on foot was littered with delicious snacks and cocktails. See below.

Ruby Dooby Dooby Doo

This is Ruby, beloved family pet and adorable placeholder. So named because he has a particular fondness for ingesting the gem in question (this is a birdy whose stomach might actually be worth pumping, although as to where to get such a tiny stomach pump I have no idea).

Unfortunately, I did not bring my photographer on my grand adventure to the northeast and I was terribly busy this weekend with a training program I'm doing, so instead of offering you a fashionable strut around the block this young Monday morning I am offering you a feathery friend. But isn't that better anyways?

Tonight I head to Boston to visit a dear friend for all of a day - I will make my best attempt to visually document the trip, but no promises. Gawd if there's one thing I hate about blogging it's the way it turns my entire life into a photo shoot. Sometimes you just want to go back to enjoying the scenery instead of desperately attempting to get that one flattering picture of it while onlookers look on snickering and you suppress the urge to yell, "SO WHAT?! YOU TRY BUILDING AND KEEPING A FOLLOWING SOMETIME AND THEN WE'LL TALK," you know?

Happy Monday!

Meet Maddie (& a Footnote on SAAM)

Meet Maddie (full name Madeleine LeDog*). She's a bundle of love in a dashing fur coat and protector of the property. Her interests include sniffing things, shredding sundry items (included but not limited to rags, tissues, plastic wrappers, and important paper documents she may have found lying on the kitchen table), sniffing things, anything edible, sniffing things, licking toes, sniffin' thangs, and trying to break the world record for number of times dashed to the other end of the yard and back in 10 seconds. Oh, and sniffing things.

Anyways, yesterday Maddie's humans decided to take her for a walk, by which they meant let her take them for a walk (she pulls hard). Maddie went totally OMGOMGOMG apesh*t it was so exciting.
